275 houses, a high-class hotel, a yacht club founded by the famous designer Andrew Winch and a 238-berth Marinetek marina are some the first-class ingredients combined to create the Portonovi Resort Village. Marinetek delivered this magnificent Mediterranean marina, meeting complex timetables and exceeding high expectations in terms of quality products and creative design inputs.

Located in the midst of a landscape of scenic mountains and clean blue waters yet less than an hour’s drive from the international airports Dubrovnik and Tivat, is s’s luxury tourist destination Portonovi. The new Marina Portonovi, designed by Marina Projects based in the United Kingdom and built by Marinetek, is one of the largest nautical destinations in the Mediterranean and a seasonal hot spot for superyachts.

The marina has a total of 238 yacht moorings with lengths of 7 to 70 meters inside a closed basin, with the possibility to accept yachts up to 120 meters long on the outer breakwater.
Boats up to 15 meters in length have berths of Marinetek fingers, while we have offered a standard Mediterranean docking system for larger yachts.

Several types of Marinetek standard pontoon elements were used, from the largest, 4 meters wide Super Yacht pontoons to the last, 2.5 meters wide All-Concrete pontoon.

The entire marina is protected by solid breakwaters on concrete piles to preserve the natural circulation of the water through the marina. As additional wave protection, a 180-metre-long floating breakwater was built in front of the entrance.

A total of 67 pontoons elements with all the additional equipment, installation, and anchoring of all piers with the Seaflex system, as well as installation of the yacht mooring system, was carried out Marinetek’s installation team that is certified for Seaflex anchorage systems.

With the installation of the north breakwater and docks E, F, and G, the fifth and final phase of the construction of the city port of Vrnaža in Šibenik was completed.

The first phase of work began in 2016 with the development of the southwest part of the bay, the construction of about 300 meters quay wall, and the installation of a floating breakwater and five floating piers. The project was divided to five phases, and through 5 years of development, the municipal port was built to its current form.

For this purpose, Marinetek delivered 9 Breakwater Pontoon elements with a total length of 164 meters, and 44 All-Concrete Pontoon elements with access bridges, mooring devices, and infrastructure, which formed 12 piers with a total length of 735 meters. A quay wall with a total length of 955 meters, a slip and a crane for boats, and a space for a dry berth of about 6,000 m2 have been constructed.

With the final installment of the port of Vrnaža, the town of Šibenik and its inhabitants received a state-of-the-art port for over 700 vessels exclusively for the personal needs of the citizens, sports, and leisure. The port itself is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and safest ports in this part of the Mediterranean and has already become a meeting place for citizens, and a promenade for families with children during the day. Strict measures for environment protective measures have been introduced for the service and maintenance of vessels.

Porto Uš, located to the southeast of the town of Korčula, is where some 90 boats up to 12 meters long have found their safe berth. The outside of the breakwater offers additional mooring for larger vessels during the summer season.

The new harbor consists of a 100-meter-long floating breakwater, located on the northeast coast of the harbor, and two 60-meter-long floating docks, placed in the protected area. Access to the breakwater is provided by a bridge from the shore, and the docks are accessible by bridges from the breakwater. The piers are anchored with a chain system and anchor blocks, and for all moored vessels, a standard four-berth system with two anchor lines for each vessel was set up.

As the harbor itself is naturally well protected, type M3820BR breakwaters were used to form the breakwater, and 2.7 m wide Marinetek Heavy Duty pontoons M2715HD were used for the interior docks. The entire project was completed in just three months, to the satisfaction of investors and the local population.

Bruksviken marina is situated in Taalintehdas, Kemiönsaari, some 160 km west of Helsinki.

Kemiönsaari municipality refurbished the whole guest harbor of Taalintehdas in 2020. The marina is exposed for south-east winds and waves and required wave protection. After the installation of the new breakwater pontoon, the inner marina gives sheltered and safe mooring facilities to numerous boats.

The marina with the services and historical sites of Taalintehdas are one of the most popular places to visit, thanks to their location at the center of the beautiful Finnish archipelago. From Taalintehdas you have short sailing distances to Naantali, Mariehamn, Turku and several smaller guest marinas and natural berthing places.

Kanavalahti marina is situated in Vääksy, Asikkala, 135 km north from Helsinki.

Asikkala municipality replaced the old breakwater pontoons in 2019. The marina is exposed for north and northwest winds and waves and required better wave protection than what the old breakwater pontoons supplied.

After the installation of the new breakwater pontoon, the inner marina gives sheltered and safe mooring facilities to boats.

The marina is mainly for permanent berth owners and the new breakwater pontoons have both permanent berths on the inside of the marina and temporary berths on the outside of the pontoon for visitors.

The marina is situated on lake Päijänne which is one of the biggest lakes in Finland, offering good sailing opportunities with marina facilities up north and to east.

The construction of the Batala communal port was very important for the city of Dubrovnik. Today, Batala is one of the most modern harbors in Croatia, primarily intended for the local users.

Marinetek as a contractor was responsible for the construction and supply of a total of 6 floating piers of a total length of 600 meters, with approximately 500 berths for boats owned by local people. This valuable project is among few in Croatia that solve the problem of the constant demand of the local population for communal berths.

Works on the pontoon installation were entrusted to the company Marine Sub d.o.o. from Sibenik.

The anchoring system of piers was conducted using reinforced concrete anchor blocks and a Seaflex system, which makes the floating docks extremely stable with minimal horizontal shifts.

Since the project of anchoring piers and vessels was made based on a coastal promenade along the coast of Gruž, we had to carry out a temporary solution so all the piers could have safe and unhindered access. Till the reconstruction of the shore was finished, we derived steel galvanized bridges at the point based on AB blocks at the seabed.

The beautiful Marina ACI Slano is located just 37 km from Dubrovnik and covers an area of 66,279 square meters. It has moorings for 190 vessels of length between 8 and 20 meters and piers and breakwaters with a total length of 688 meters. After the completion of the main works on the mainland, Marinetek joined in with the construction works of the maritime part that involved the installation of floating breakwaters and piers, electrical installations, water supply, and hydrant grid and anchor system for the vessels.

The surface of all pontoons piers is covered with exotic wood, which gives the marina an exceptional and exclusive look.

For this project, Marinetek produced and delivered 9 Heavy Duty Pontoons, 20 All Concrete Pontoons, and 16 Breakwater Pontoons that formed 5 piers.

The installation of the pontoons and the mooring system was entrusted to the company Hidroinženjering from Rijeka, an experienced team specialized in underwater works. The construction and delivery of service cabinets were arranged by another manufacturer from Croatia – company Marex elektrostroj from Zadar.

The special feature of this project is the anchoring of breakwater elements at depths of up to 20 m and the optimization and flexible anchoring of ships by the needs of the marina, depending on whether it is a constant annual mooring station or for transit ships. Despite the considerable depth, all piers are anchored with a chain, catenary standard system. Since most of the area is relatively shallow, the marina had to be deepened to a depth of at least 3 meters.

The main objective of Service Center Trogir was to position itself as the marina of the highest category in the region with superior quality services and berths for all types of vessels. After completion of the project, Marina Trogir became the first-class marina (5 anchors), with berths at sea and ashore, offering services to yachts of all sizes.

The marina has a total of 256 berths for vessels from 12 to 25 meters in length and 30 berths for large yachts from 25 to 120 meters long.

In the first phase, Marinetek installed 6 floating piers of 50 to 80 meters in length. The first five piers, starting from the east side were made of 23 Heavy Duty Pontoons, with berths for 133 vessels under 25 meters. The first pier on the west side was built with Breakwater Pontoon elements to better protect the marina.

The service cabinets on the docks were manufactured by the company Marex elektrostroj from Zadar, and each features a Smart system to follow the consumption and billing of water and electricity.

The second construction phase of the marina included the expansion of the sixth pier and the installation of the seventh breakwater pier along which lies the anchorage system for another 30 large vessels. In addition, the coastline between the new breakwater pier and Cape Čubrijan has also been renovated. This area allows mooring to 10 yachts with a total length of up to 60 meters.

Aker Brygge Marina has created a new hub for Aker Brygge, which is Oslo’s premier seafront visitor attraction. It was built by Marinetek in a single phase using 5 m-wide Super Yacht Pontoons and 5 m-wide breakwater sections. The Super Yacht Pontoon, used in projects such as Palm Jumeirah Marina and Port Hercules, was launched in Scandinavia via this project. Aker Brygge features a generously proportioned 15 m wide floating main walkway with a 5 m wide pontoon extension. All berths within the marina basin are 3 m in pontoon width with mooring fingers.

Work was undertaken in co-operation with Marinetek’s Norwegian distributor, Nordocks, and all pontoons were manufactured at Marinetek factories in Finland, Sweden and Latvia. Production started in June, installation commenced in October and completion was achieved to schedule in December 2013. The Aker Brygge site attracts around 12 million visitors every year and is thus a very high profile showcase for Marinetek.

The floating breakwater installed for the City of San Francisco’s West Harbor Marina was a record breaker for Marinetek that played its part when the City hosted the 2013 America’s Cup.

It is the heaviest built to date by Marinetek and withstands the forces of sustained winds of 44 m/s with a period of four seconds. The pontoons were cast in Antioch, California by Marinetek’s Mobile Production Team and were towed to the site and anchored in place using galvanised steel chains secured to submerged steel piles. West Harbor Marina was a pivotal site for the America’s Cup and the marina provided an ideal viewing point for spectators.
